Re-Naturalization facility

Functional Space

Kickapoo Mud Creek Nature Conservancy has recently opened a dedicated facility to help with our re-naturalization efforts. Located down the road from the Kickapoo Center, the shop includes garage space for the heavy equipment needed to maintain and replant the grounds. Office space, and community room.

In addition, we also are in the process of building out a dedicated space for reseeding supplies. Here, working with individual volunteers as well as partner organizations, we will work to not only document, but also maintain an active selection of seeds for vegetation indigenous to the area.

In conjunction with our reseeding initiative, we’ll be using the shop as a hub for efforts to remove invasive or non-native vegetation from the prairie and woodland areas of the conservancy.

The shop space is a key element to the success of our Kickapoo re-naturalization programs.
